Archives for the month of: November, 2012

Sign up here for your presentations!

Today, 11/7, we will meet and discuss art and the external world, introduce the oral exam, and brainstorm concerning the final creative project.

Monday, 11/12, we will not meet due to the College’s observance of Veterans’ Day.

On Wednesday, November 14, we will NOT meet in our usual classroom.  Instead, we will meet in the Teaching, Learning, and Instructional Technology center, in E-building, in order to be introduced to e-portfolio.

The following week, we will have oral exams.

Then, on 11/26, we will meet in our usual room and you will deliver a presentation on your final creative project.

The oral exam is coming up!

This oral exam will be based on a question, like an essay exam.  You will draw the question at random, as you did for the key terms for the first oral exam.  The questions will be major philosophical questions, such as:

If there is an all-powerful, all-loving, and all-knowing God, why is there evil in the world?

What is art?

How do we know that our perceptions of reality are real?

Where did the universe come from?

and so on.

Please sign up for the first oral exam here.
