For extra credit, select any philosophical work or cultural artifact we’ve encountered together in the course so far, and write a 500-1000 word essay connecting and comparing it to any other philosophical work.  The “other” work may be a work you are using for your final project (doesn’t have to be, but it can be), UNLESS the work or artifact from the course is a work or artifact you are using for your final project.  In other words, the two things being compared can’t both be part of your final project–one can be, but not both.

Email this to me no later than Friday, November 28 at 11:59 PM.
Finally, create a new section and upload this to your e-portfolio.  In order to receive full credit for this extra credit exercise, it needs to be on your e-portfolio when you submit the final portfolio.

If you do this satisfactorily, you will get an extra 1/3 of a letter grade boost (for instance, B to B+) on your first oral exam.  This works even if it would put your first oral exam grade over 100 points.

As ever, if you have questions, if you’re unsure whether something you’re interested in writing about “counts” as a philosophical work for these purposes, etc.–ask!
